The OSVDPA DPO Certification Scheme is defined by DPOs and Prospective DPOs passing an assessment before advancing to the next phase, earning certification, or revalidating their certificate. Following the completion of the Phase 1 (Induction) Course, the Prospective DPO taking the course shall sit for the Phase 1 Assessment. The Phase 1 Assessment measures the Prospective DPO’s knowledge of the competencies lists in the Phase 1 segment of the OSVDPA CT-1-CV, the OSVDPA Competency Standard (Current Version). The OSVDPA has a purposely novel scoring system for this assessment which is described in this circular.
